History
The district is a political subdivision of the state of Texas, created by an order of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (the “TCEQ”) on July 11, 2007, and operates pursuant to Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code as amended. The District includes approximately 1,725 acres of land within its boundaries.
The District is located approximately 25 miles northwest of the central downtown business district of the City of Houston, Texas and lies wholly within the exclusive extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston and within the boundaries of the Cypress – Fairbanks Independent School District. The District is located approximately two miles southwest of the intersection of U.S. Highway 290 and Fry Road and is bordered on the north by Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 419, on the west by the U.S. Highway 99 (the Grand Parkway) right-of-way, on the east by Fry Road and on the south by Langham Creek. Access to the District is provided by U.S. Highway 290 to Fry Road south or by the Grand Parkway to House Hahl Road East.
